Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers to Hire 5,000 New Workers and Award Bonuses to Employees that Lost Hours

Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers announced plans to hire thousands of new workers and pay bonuses to employees that missed hours due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The restaurant said it will begin hiring 5,000 new employees worldwide and will distribute $2 million to crewmembers that helped keep the restaurants open during the coronavirus pandemic.  The money is intended to make up for the hours that employees gave up during the pandemic to keep everyone employed.  According to the company, none of its workers have been laid off since the beginning of the outbreak.

“When the crisis began, we created a mantra ‘NO CREW LEFT BEHIND,’ and I made a promise that we would all get through this together. Our Crew has continued to stay positive while working incredibly hard, and some even reduced their hours in order to keep everyone’s job safe. We are extremely grateful for their shared sacrifice and are blessed to have such an amazing Crew. Thanks to their hard work, Raising Cane’s will come out of this crisis even stronger than before. I couldn’t be prouder and more thankful for each and every one of our Restaurant Leaders and Crewmembers.” – Aj Kumaran, co-CEO of Raising Cane’s

Both co-CEOs, Todd Graves and Kumaran say they have gone without their salaries during the outbreak.
