Lafayette Police have announced an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred at a convenience store located in the 800 block of North University Avenue.

On June 27, agents with the Western District of Louisiana’s United States Marshals’ Violent Offender Task Force was able to take Kevin Auguillard into custody without incident in reference to a shooting incident that occurred at a local convenience store on July 10, 2020.
Mr. Auguillard was then transported and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for warrants obtained by investigators. Mr. Auguillard was charged with 1 Count of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 1 Count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and 1 Count of Armed Robbery.
This is an ongoing investigation.
