The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their Class of 2021 on Wednesday – but several other artists will also be honored with separate awards.
The Hall will honor rapper LL Cool J, ‘fifth Beatle’ keyboardist Billy Preston, and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads with the Musical Excellence Award.
Electronic pioneers Kraftwerk, jazz great Gil Scott Heron, and blue legend Charley Patton will receive the Early Influence Award.
Finally, pioneering black record executive and film producer Clarence Avant will be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award for music industry professionals.
The 2021 HOF Inductees include Tina Turner, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, The Go-Go’s, Carole King, and Todd Rundgren. The induction concert will be held Oct. 30th.
