The New Orleans Saints may not be playing in New Orleans for at least a month following Hurricane Ida.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Saints Head Coach Sean Payton told reporters that the team will be away from New Orleans through September as the city recovers from Hurricane Ida.

That recovery will take several weeks. Although the Superdome didn’t experience any major damage during the storm, the city expects to be without power for weeks. The team is currently practicing at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
The New Orleans Saints only have 1 home game in September, a Week 1 game against the Green Bay Packers. The NFL has not yet announced an alternative site for that matchup.
Saints Owner, Gayle Benson recently announced a $1 million donation towards the Gulf Coast Renewal Fund in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
